I believe voting against legislation that addresses the housing crisis is harmful to working families, seniors, veterans, and first-time homebuyers who are already struggling with rising housing costs. In Louisiana, where many families are facing housing shortages and affordability challenges, we need every responsible tool available to increase housing opportunities.
Congressman Clay Higgins voted against this legislation. If elected to Congress, I would have voted FOR the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act because I believe affordable housing must be treated as a serious economic priority. I will fight for legislation that helps Louisiana families find safe, affordable housing and gives more people the opportunity to achieve the American dream of homeownership.
Our communities do not need politicians simply saying they support affordable housing. They need representatives who will actually vote for solutions that can make a difference.
